Everyone is talking about AI agents — the next step in artificial intelligence, the threat to everyone’s job, the technology that will change how organizations work, and sometimes even “AI taking over.” But what are AI agents really? What can they actually do? What do they mean for your organization, your staff, your workflows, and your future use of AI?
This practical, non-technical class explains AI agents in plain English. Participants will learn what AI agents are, how they are different from regular AI prompts, chatbots, custom GPTs, and automations, and why agents are becoming one of the most important developments in practical AI use.
Participants will also learn what is involved in setting up an AI agent, including instructions, documents, tools, permissions, review steps, and safeguards.
No technical background is required. This class is designed for leaders, managers, nonprofit staff, administrative teams, development staff, communications staff, and anyone who wants to understand AI agents without being overwhelmed by technical language.
Q&A: Questions and discussion are always welcome. We will discuss where agents can be helpful, where they can create risk, and why human review remains essential.
Included with this session:
- A helpful handout with plain-English explanations
- Examples of practical AI agents
- A simple checklist for identifying where an AI agent might help your organization.
Each class is live, instructor-led, and online. Questions are always welcome. This session is CEU-rated and includes practical tools that can be used immediately.
