AI is not one single tool; there are three distinct types of AI:

  • AI Content Platforms – tools that generate text, ideas, images, summaries, and more; examples: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity

  • Embedded AI – AI built into the tools you already use; examples: Microsoft Office Copilot, Google Workspace AI, Canva Magic Studio, Zoom AI, Adobe AI

  • AI Agents – the next step in AI. Instead of merely generating content, AI agents perform tasks like a digital employee; follow instructions, take actions across apps, and work automatically in the background; examples: Zapier AI Agents, MS Copilot Studio, OpenAI Assistants, Task-Automation Bots
