This class provides a comprehensive overview of the essentials of Microsoft Excel. No previous experience or background is required. Open to All.
Introduction – provides an overview of navigation, in particular the Ribbon, defines the distinction between Worksheets and Workbooks and demonstrates how to create and save each. This section shows how to use the Quick Access Toolbar, how to Customize the Toolbar, how to use Dialog Boxes and how to find Command icons that are not included in the Ribbon presets. A demonstration of the importance of using the correct terms is provided.
Basics – demonstrates all forms of data entry and how to use the Auto Fill Handle, the Format Cells feature, the Find/Replace commands and Keyboard shortcuts. Templates, Data Validation, Task Panes, Printing, Sharing, and Protecting are also covered.
Functions & Formulas – explains the difference between Formulas and Functions, and provides hands on practice with both. Also covers Count & Sum, Date & Time, V-Lookup, H-Lookup, use of References, Financial Functions, Statistical Functions, and Common Formula Errors
Data – provides the basics of Data management including Sort, Filter, Conditional Formatting, Charts, standard Tables and Pivot Tables
Question & Answer – this is a live seminar that can accommodate your questions.
